Andrew Fagan

Andrew had another successful year in 2004.

Andrew won provincials in the junior freestyle class shooting a 435 on 40 targets the first day and shooting a 446 on 40 targets the second day for a total of 881 on 80 targets. He was named first to the Junior Provincial Team which was being sent to Prince George, British Columbia for the FCA Canadian Nationals.

For the second leg of the Ontario Triple Crown at the York County Canadian Classic, Andrew tied for first place and lost in the shootoff, achieving second place overall in mens freestyle.

The week after, Andrew travelled with the provincial team to Prince George and achieved first place at the FCA nationals in YMR 15-17, beating second place by 45 points on 80 targets.

At the Canadian Open Top Gun Championship Andrew qualified first place in mens freestyle. On the final day of 20 targets he shot 212, but that was not good enough and took second place.

In West Virginia, at the 3-D IBO World Championship, Andrew had to shoot through terrible conditions on the first day and finished in 16th place. The second day however, he shot the highest score in the tournament on a single round and jumped up the rankings, finding himself tied for 5th. On the final day there was a cut for the top five archers in each catagory with 10 targets remaining. He ended up in the 5th place position.

Andrew also shot many other tournaments throughout the province and placed well in all of them. Two of these shoots included Durham Archers, where he won both tournaments in mens freestyle, scoring 419 in June and 420 in August.
